New Interior Design Trends for 2020

With 2020 just around the corner there are new design trends on the horizon! A new year means a fresh start and it's a perfect time to transform your home. If you’re trying to figure out what to do with your home next year, here are a few trends that are up and coming for the new year.

No big surprise, neutral colors are still in! Neutrals such as beige, ivory, taupe, black, gray and shades of white appear to be without color, but in many design applications these hues often have undertones. 2020 sees warm neutrals making their way in, while cool neutrals fade into the background. We’re primarily looking at shades of gray and beige.

This year and into the next, designers are taking a deep dive into velvet design options in furniture in accessories. Velvet is fast becoming something of a trans-seasonal fabric choice in interior schemes all over the world. The velvet texture will add some feeling of opulence, elegance and some luxurious ambiance to your room.

Black and white are the beginning and end of the color spectrum. They literally couldn’t be a starker contrast between colors., but the clash between light and dark is a gift from the interior design gods. There are millions of ways to incorporate this yin and yang trend into your home decor.

Geometric patterns have been a rising trend for the past few years. Geometric trends can be found almost everywhere, from flooring to wall tiles, to furniture and accessories. That's why 2020 is all about geometric balance. You can still make a statement with bold and vibrant geometric patterns.
